The Sun-kissed Method
A concept imagined by Sonya Aumis
Every wedding I plan is guided by the same core philosophy: a wedding should feel effortless, warm, and full of light even when the organisation behind it is extremely precise.
I call it the Sun-kissed Method. It’s built on three principles that shape every decision we make together.
Clarity A clear process makes everything easier. Each step of the planning follows a logical order, so you always know where we are and what comes next. No guesswork. No unpleasant surprises.
Curation Rather than overwhelming you with endless options, I carefully select the venues and vendors that truly match your vision, your priorities, and the experience you want to create. The right choices: not all the choices.
Cohesion Every decision is connected. The venue, the design, the food, the music, the guest experience: they all need to work together to create a wedding that feels natural and harmonious. That thread of cohesion is something I protect from start to finish.
01 — The Discovery Call It starts with a conversation. We take 30 to 45 minutes to get to know each other: your vision, your priorities, the kind of day you’re dreaming of. No pressure, no pitch. Just an honest exchange to see if we’re the right fit.
02 — Your Personalised Proposal If it feels right on both sides, I put together a detailed proposal tailored to your wedding. This is where everything starts to take shape: the service, the approach, the investment, and the next steps.
03 — Foundation & Vision Once we’re officially working together, we build the foundation. I create your planning workspace, we define your budget together, and we begin shaping your wedding vision: the aesthetic, the atmosphere, the feeling you want your guests to walk away with.
04 — Venue Search & Booking With a clear vision in hand, I search for and present a curated selection of venues that match your style and your guest count. We visit, we discuss, we decide and I handle all negotiations and contracts.
05 — Building Your Dream Team Photographer, caterer, florist, musician, celebrant: I source and present a hand-picked selection of vendors for each category. My goal is not to give you a long list, but to introduce you to the right people.
06 — Design, Details & Final Preparations In the months leading up to your wedding, we fine-tune every detail: the styling direction, the seating plan, the timeline, the logistics. I coordinate all vendors, manage the final confirmations, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
07 — Your Wedding Day I’m on-site from the very beginning to the very end. I manage all vendors, keep everything on schedule, and handle anything that comes up so the only thing on your mind is the person standing next to you.
Your Planning Tool Kit
So you always feel in control
From day one, you’ll have everything you need to stay informed and in control without it taking over your life.
A dedicated planning workspace ● A private online space where all documents, decisions, timelines, and vendor information are gathered in one place. Our shared headquarters throughout the entire journey.
Regular calls at each key step ● We schedule calls during the important phases of the planning to review options, make decisions, and move forward together. Clear, efficient, and always purposeful.
A step-by-step decision process ● You’ll never have to decide everything at once. I guide you through the planning in a logical order so each decision comes at the right moment and carries the right weight.
A pace adapted to destination weddings ● Most of the big decisions happen in the first few months. Then the planning naturally becomes lighter, until the final weeks when we prepare every last detail together. You’ll always know what’s coming.
The Woman Behind The Method
Born and raised in Provence, I’ve spent years helping couples from around the world create weddings that feel both effortless and deeply personal. Having lived in the United States for a few years, I know firsthand what it’s like to build a life away from home and navigate unfamiliar systems, cultures, and ways of doing things.
That experience shaped the way I work today and helps me better understand the challenges my international couples face when planning a wedding in France.
I work with a limited number of couples each year, allowing me to be fully invested in every celebration and to build genuine relationships along the way.
I’m naturally outgoing and love connecting with people. My couples often tell me that I make them feel comfortable from our very first conversation, and I think that’s one of the things I value most about my work. I want you to feel like you can share your ideas openly, ask any question, and truly enjoy the planning process.
I’m also deeply organised and known for my honest approach. I’ll always guide you towards the decisions that make the most sense for your priorities, your guests, and the experience you want to create.
I have a particular love for multicultural weddings and celebrations that bring together different traditions, backgrounds, and stories.
My goal is simple: to create an unforgettable wedding and make the journey towards it feel just as enjoyable.
